Palm Sunday

Celebrate Palm Sunday with us at both our Contemporary (8:30 a.m.) and Traditional (10:30 a.m.) services as we remember Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. At our Traditional Service, we continue a beloved New Bedford EPC tradition with the Choir Processional to the hymn “The Palms.” Both services will lift our hearts in praise as we begin Holy Week together, rejoicing in the coming of our King.

Maundy Thursday

Join us on Holy Thursday at 7:00 p.m. for our Maundy Thursday service as we reflect on the night our Lord shared the Last Supper with His disciples. At New Bedford EPC, this meaningful evening of worship is sometimes marked by our presentation of the 12 Ordinary Men drama or by a special Seder celebration, each offering a powerful reminder of Christ’s love and sacrifice. Together, we prepare our hearts for the cross and the joy of Easter morning.

Good Friday

Gather with us on Good Friday at 7:00 p.m. for a solemn Tenebrae Service in which we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Through Scripture, prayer, and reflection, we enter into the weight of this holy day, honoring the depth of His love and the price He paid for our redemption. This reverent time of worship prepares us to fully embrace the hope and victory of Easter Sunday.

Easter

At both our Contemporary Service (8:30 a.m.) and Traditional Service (10:30 a.m.) we lift voices in praise, proclaiming the victory of the empty tomb and the promise of new life in Him. Come and share in this joyful morning of worship as we declare together: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

Memorial Day

Join us this Memorial Day Sunday at our Traditional Worship Service (10:30 a.m.) as we honor the men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Each year, we invite all veterans to stand proudly at the front of the church to be recognized for their sacrifice and service, while our choir leads us in the stirring songs of each branch of the U.S. military. This meaningful service also marks the beginning of the choir’s summer recess. Together, we give thanks to God for the gift of freedom and for those who have bravely defended it.
