Our Lord inspired the Apostle Paul to say in 1 Corinthians 14:33 that “God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” This series will look at historical aspects of God’s plan, in which we can witness the order with which He is executing His plan for this world and for each of us individually.

The book of Romans is the most theologically intense of all the books of the Bible, laying out concepts like justification by faith alone and commenting about sin, perseverance and more. In many respects, Paul’s letter is focal point for the whole Bible — all roads lead there in terms of God and His plan for us. This series will prayerfully explore many concepts found in this very rich book, fully inspired by God.

The time of the kings was difficult for the nation of Israel, by this point broken up into two kingdoms: the northern kingdom of Israel (also called Samaria) and the southern kingdom of Judah. Almost all of the kings of Israel did “evil in the eyes of the Lord.” That wasn’t always the case with the southern kingdom. This sermon series will examine one of the latter kings of Judah, King Hezekiah, who in effect “went old school” in terms of His leading the southern kingdom to do “right in the eyes of the Lord.” The prayer for this series is that by examining what Hezekiah did right, how he survived crises, and what he did wrong, that you and I might be inspired to also go “old school” in terms of our practices.
